Who we are

Tank Alarm is a service provided by Kiniken Dynamics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is in Suffolk. We can be contacted at hello@tankalarm.uk.

We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this website and through the course of providing our installation service.

What data we collect

We may collect the following personal data:

• Contact and booking information — name, email address, phone number, and property address when you submit a booking or contact form.
• Tank details — information about your oil tank type, location, and property, provided as part of the booking process.
• Payment information — deposit payments are processed via Stripe. We do not store your card details — these are handled securely by Stripe in accordance with their own privacy policy.
• Communication records — emails and other communications between us.
• Website usage data — anonymous analytics data such as pages visited and browser type, collected via cookies where you have consented.
• Newsletter sign-ups — email address if you subscribe to our mailing list.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• Process and confirm your installation booking
• Contact you to arrange your pre-installation call and installation appointment
• Process your deposit payment via Stripe
• Issue your warranty documentation and receipt
• Respond to enquiries and support requests
• Send you our newsletter if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

The legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (to deliver the installation service you have booked), legitimate interests (to operate our business and respond to enquiries), and consent (for marketing communications and analytics cookies).

How long we keep your data

We retain customer records (including booking information, installation details, and payment records) for 7 years in line with UK HMRC requirements for business records. Warranty-related records are kept for the duration of the warranty period plus a reasonable period thereafter.

Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Enquiry records where no booking is made are deleted after 12 months.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• Stripe — for payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Email service providers — for sending booking confirmations, newsletters, and communications.
• Analytics providers — anonymous usage data only, where you have consented to analytics cookies.

All third-party processors we work with are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR.
